Talotako was born out of the fusion of Basque and Mexican cuisine. For this restaurant in Benidorm, we carried that fusion over into the interior design, creating a space where colour, textures and contrasts complement a culinary offering with its own distinct identity.
The geometric patterns and vibrant colours evoke the Mexican visual aesthetic and run along the walls, finding subtle echoes on the tables. Against this vibrant backdrop, the light wood finishes and white brickwork lend warmth and balance. The blue woodwork adds another splash of colour, whilst the wooden and black metal furniture reinforces the informal feel of the space.
Lighting forms part of this design language: pendant lights, articulated wall lights and exposed red cables trace a path across the tables, lending the space an industrial, carefree feel. Each element contributes to a dynamic composition, whilst retaining a sense of intimacy.
